Sustainability Report, showcasing the company's progress in advancing its
sustainability goals across 14 African countries.
The report highlights
Airtel Africa's achievements in four key areas: 'Our Business', 'Our People',
'Our Community', and 'Our Environment'. Notable milestones include expanding
telecommunications services to 152.7 million customers, increasing workforce
diversity, and driving financial inclusion through Airtel Money.
Airtel Africa has also
made significant strides in reducing its environmental impact, publishing its
'Journey towards a net zero future' and launching a scope 3 strategy to engage
with partners and suppliers.
Outgoing Group CEO Segun
Ogunsanya expressed pride in the company's progress, emphasizing Airtel
Africa's mission to transform lives through connectivity, products, and
services that foster digital and financial inclusion.
The report adheres to the
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework and the GSMA's recommendations for
the telecommunications industry. Airtel Africa's commitment to sustainability
