Mozambique, recognizing Vodacom Moçambique's successful implementation of the
new SIMO Rede platform. The award was presented by Dr. Rogerio Zandamela,
Governor of the Bank of Mozambique, during the 13th-anniversary celebration of
SIMO Rede, the Single National Electronic Payments Network in Mozambique.
This
prestigious recognition acknowledges M-PESA's significant contributions to
advancing financial services in Mozambique, promoting financial inclusion, and
enabling secure and affordable transactions for millions of Mozambicans. With
over $15 billion in transactions supported annually, M-PESA has played a
pivotal role in revolutionizing the country's financial landscape.
