Telecom giants unite to drive Zambia's digital future

Airtel Networks Zambia, in its capacity as the current chair of the Global System for Mobile communication Association of Zambia (GSMAZ), has successfully collaborated with fellow industry players ZICTA, MTN, Zamtel, and ZedMobile to host a joint Market Storm at Chawama Grounds in Lusaka.

This collective effort aimed to raise awareness about innovative services and initiatives, including the phasing out of scratch cards and the introduction of the convenient *707# short code for reporting stolen phones. This upcoming new trend in Zambia's telecommunications sector is aimed at driving the country’s digital agenda towards a more secure, efficient, and digitally transformed future.

The GSMAZ's collective goal is to promote a more secure and efficient telecommunications ecosystem, ultimately benefiting consumers and stakeholders alike.

Officials believes that such collaborative initiative undertaken by industry players will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping a more innovative and inclusive future.
