The South
African National Space Agency (SANSA) and the Ghanaian Space Science and
Technology Institute have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at enhancing space cooperation between the two nations.
The agreement,
signed by SANSA CEO Humbulani Mudau, focuses on joint applications in areas
such as maritime domain awareness, mining, agriculture, infrastructure, joint
missions, and industry development.
Through the
agreement, South Africa and Ghana aim to leverage space technology to drive
innovation, economic growth, and development, and to address pressing
challenges facing the continent.
The partnership also highlights the importance of collaboration among African space
agencies in advancing the African Union's Agenda 2063, which envisions a
prosperous and integrated continent driven by its own citizens.
