Nigerian
Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited has officially signed a Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) with Digital Wootlab Nigeria, a non-profit organization
dedicated to promoting inclusive and quality education for out-of-school
children and youths in Africa.
The signing
ceremony was attended by key representatives from both organizations. NIGCOMSAT
was represented by the Executive Director, Engr. Abiodun Attah, and the Company
Secretary, Kingsley Udevbure, while Digital Wootlab was represented by Mr.
David Naitri and Sumayya Sabo.
The partnership
aims to promote employability and technology-related labor export, decent work,
and economic growth in Nigeria. By collaborating with Digital Wootlab,
NIGCOMSAT seeks to leverage technology to enhance digital skills training
programs across the country.
As a Microsoft
implementing partner, Digital Wootlab has committed to ensuring a meaningful
execution of the digital skills training programs, working alongside NIGCOMSAT. The partnership
is expected to yield significant benefits for Nigeria, including improved
access to quality education, enhanced employability, and increased economic
opportunities.
