The Independent
Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has held a two-day stakeholder
engagement session, bringing together key players from the postal,
broadcasting, and telecommunications sectors. The gathering aimed to harness
collective expertise and address pressing concerns within the Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
Speaking during
his welcome address, the ICASA Chairperson, Mothibi Glenview Ramusi, emphasized
the critical importance of collaboration among stakeholders in developing
effective communication solutions. "Partnership is vital to serving all
communities, particularly those in underserved areas," he stressed in
his opening remarks.
The session
seeks to inform and finalize ICASA's five-year strategic plan, ensuring that
the regulator's vision aligns with the needs and aspirations of the ICT sector.
By fostering open dialogue and constructive debate, ICASA aims to create a
comprehensive plan that drives growth, innovation, and inclusivity.
By involving
stakeholders in the strategic planning process, the authority ensures that its
