Kenya’s Cabinet
Secretary Dr. Margaret Ndung'u has hosted the Deputy Chief of Staff Eliud Owalo
to validate MICDE's Performance Contract for FY 2024-2025. The session focused
on key areas, including the Performance Contract for FY 2024-2025, ministry
milestones from 2022-2024, and the implementation of donor-funded projects and
Cabinet decisions.
The Ministerial
Performance Contract Validation Session aimed to ensure government ministries,
departments, and agencies (MDAs) are held accountable for their performance.
This session was crucial in monitoring ongoing government projects and
strategizing efficiency in service delivery
In her remarks,
Dr. Ndung'u stressed the importance of an evaluation framework to assess ICT
project progress and impact, along with sustainability mechanisms for project
longevity.
Deputy Chief of
Staff Eliud Owalo also highlighted the contract's role in operationalizing
MICDE's Strategic Plan, aligning with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation
Agenda (BETA), and underscoring the significance of the Digital Superhighway
and Creative Economy.
The session's
objective was to ensure MDAs adhere to their contract commitments, promoting
accountability and efficient service delivery. This aligns with the
government's efforts to enhance performance management frameworks.
