Djibouti Ministry in Charge of Digital Economy and Innovation (MDENI) signs agreement to launch Djibouti Code Campus

The Ministry Delegate in Charge of Digital Economy and Innovation (MDENI) has officially signed an agreement to establish the "Djibouti Code Campus" (DCC), an initiative aimed at enhancing the digital skills of the youth in Djibouti. The signing ceremony took place under the high patronage of H.E. Minister Mariam Hamadou Ali as part of the broader "Djibouti Smart Nation" vision.


The Djibouti Code Campus will focus on training experts in crucial fields such as coding, artificial intelligence, and new technologies through innovative pedagogical approaches. The initiative seeks to empower the youth with the necessary skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape, fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The launch ceremony witnessed the participation of various representatives from both the public and private sectors, indicating the collaborative effort required to drive this initiative forward. Founding members of the DCC association include key stakeholders such as the Embassy of France, the France-Djibouti Business Group, the Ports and Free Zones Authority, Djibouti Telecom, and Djibouti Electricity. In addition, private sector partners such as the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce, BCIMR, CMA CGM, Rubis, and the Information Systems Development Company have also committed to supporting this vital project.


The Djibouti Code Campus is envisioned as a center of excellence that will not only enhance individual skills but also contribute to the nation's economic development by fostering a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
