MTN Cameroon has
hosted the presentation of the MTN Group’s inaugural People Report at its Head
Office in Douala. The landmark event marked a significant milestone in the
Group's commitment to prioritizing its workforce and enhancing employee
engagement across its operations.
The
presentation featured key insights from prominent MTN executives, including
Paul Norman, the Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Mitwa Kaemba Ng'ambi, the
CEO of MTN Cameroon, and Emilienne Evangeline Biboum, the General Manager of
Human Resources at MTN Cameroon. Together, they shared valuable perspectives on
MTN’s employee-centric initiatives and the evolving landscape of work in the
telecommunications sector.
The event
garnered attention from various stakeholders, including the Regional Delegate
of Employment and Vocational Training, representatives from the Regional
Delegate of Labour and Social Security, members of the Cameroon Association of
Human Resources Management, and journalists from numerous media outlets. Their
presence underscored the importance of MTN’s initiatives in promoting workforce
development and social responsibility within the country.
During the
presentation, MTN executives emphasized the Group’s dedication to celebrating
its employees and recognizing their contributions as MTN commemorates 30 years
of impactful service across Africa. The People Report outlines various
initiatives aimed at empowering employees, promoting professional growth, and
ensuring a positive workplace culture. It reflects MTN’s belief that investing
in its people is fundamental to achieving sustained success and delivering
