Safaricom PLC recognized as Top Employer of Choice in Kenya

Kenya’s
telecom giant Safaricom PLC has been recognized as a top employer of choice in
Kenya and Africa by the Top Employers Institute for Excellence in people
practices.
As
the global authority on recognizing excellence in People Practice, the Top
Employers Institute aims to accelerate these practices to enrich the world of
work. Through the Top Employers Institute Certification Programme,
participation companies can be validated, certified, and recognized as an
employer of choice.
Receiving
the award, the Chief Human Resource Officer at Safaricom PLC, Paul Kasimu noted
on his social media Linkedin platform that the certification is a validation of
the strong employer proposition that Safaricom has created over the years by
providing a fully engaged workplace and numerous opportunities for employees to
develop their mindset, toolset, and skillset.

practices to continuously improve our People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent
Acquisition, Learning, Well-Being, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, among
others,” he said.
“Through

The
Top Employers Institute programme certifies organizations based on the participation
and results of the HR Best Practices Survey. This survey covers six domains
consisting of 20 topics including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent
Acquisition, Learning, Well-Being, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and more.
All
246 corporate organizations working in various industries including FMCG,
Telecommunication, Transport, Logistics, and more made it to this year’s Africa
Top Employers List.
