Bboxx
has named Ene Adesanya as the new Managing Director of Bboxx Energy Access
Nigeria, strengthening leadership in one of its key markets. Adesanya will lead
the company’s participation in the Distributed Access through Renewable Energy
Scale-up (DARES) fund, aiming to reach more than 100,000 households in 2026
with solar energy solutions, solar-powered irrigation for agribusiness, and
smartphone financing.
Anthony
Osijo, Group CEO of Abci-Nexus, welcomed Adesanya’s appointment, noting that
promoting from within demonstrates Bboxx’s commitment to strong, consistent
leadership. Ene brings over 17 years of experience in finance and business
management, having previously served as Head of Finance at Bboxx Nigeria, where
she supported market expansion and financial governance across commercial and
donor-funded programs.
Ene
Adesanya said she joined Bboxx to build sustainable, impact-driven energy
solutions and highlighted the company’s readiness to expand access to essential
services for Nigerian households and businesses.
She
succeeds Ernest Akinlola, who stepped down after five years and will continue
to support the business as a board member. Osijo thanked Akinlola for his
contributions to advancing renewable energy in Nigeria.
