Qatar Ambassador visits Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute

Qatar’s
ambassador to Ethiopia, Saad Mubarak Al-Naemi, led a delegation on a visit to
the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute to explore opportunities for
technological collaboration between the two countries.
During
the visit, the Institute’s Director General, Dr. Werku Gachena, briefed the
delegation on the institute’s ongoing initiatives across key sectors aimed at
ensuring Ethiopia fully leverages the benefits of artificial intelligence.
The
delegation toured the institute’s Robotics Workshop, Startup Center, Digital
Library, and Product Showroom, gaining insight into its research, innovation,
and entrepreneurship programs.
Officials
noted that discussions will continue to identify avenues for deeper cooperation
in technology, emphasizing mutual benefits for Ethiopia and Qatar in AI
development and innovation.
