Ghana hosted a high-level session on artificial intelligence for the National
Development Planning Commission (NDPC), emphasizing the role of emerging
technologies in strengthening national development coordination.
The
session highlighted how AI can enhance research, monitoring, and evaluation,
supporting more effective implementation of Ghana’s Medium-Term Development
Plan (2026–2029).

Officials
noted that building AI readiness is critical for data-driven policymaking and
delivering measurable development outcomes. The initiative sets the stage for
continued AI capacity building and innovation within Ghana’s national planning
framework, reinforcing the country’s commitment to sustainable and
technology-driven development.
