Orange
Foundation and UBA Foundation have officially signed a memorandum of
understanding (MoU), launching a strategic partnership aimed at delivering
sustainable and impactful community development initiatives across Sierra
Leone.

The
signing event was attended by key stakeholders, including Madam Aïcha Touré,
CEO of Orange Sierra Leone, and Mohamed Alhajie Samoura, CEO of UBA Sierra
Leone. Madam Touré emphasized Orange’s commitment to national development and
highlighted the upcoming renovation of the York Peripheral Health Unit (PHU) as
the first major project under the partnership. Mr. Samoura reaffirmed UBA’s
dedication to supporting initiatives that deliver meaningful and lasting
community impact.

Delivering
the keynote address, Minister of Health Dr. Austin Demby underscored the
critical role of public-private collaboration in advancing maternal health and
broader national development goals. He pledged the Ministry’s full support to
ensure the partnership achieves tangible results.
The
MoU was formally signed by both parties and sealed by the Minister of Health,
marking a significant step toward a sustainable, people-centered development
agenda in Sierra Leone.
