The
Cyber Security Authority, in partnership with UNICEF, has convened a validation
workshop on the draft Child Online Protection Guidelines for Industry, aimed at
strengthening safeguards for children in the digital environment.

The
workshop brought together a broad range of stakeholders, including
representatives from government institutions, industry, civil society
organisations, and development partners, to review and refine the proposed
framework.
During
the session, participants examined the draft guidelines to assess their
practicality and feasibility, particularly in relation to existing national
policies as well as relevant local and international best practices. The
discussions focused on ensuring that the guidelines are implementable by
industry players while effectively addressing emerging online risks faced by
children.

The
validation workshop marks an important step toward finalising the Child Online
Protection Guidelines, reinforcing ongoing efforts to promote a safer and more
secure digital ecosystem for children.
