The
Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) has launched its 125th
anniversary year with the inaugural Commonwealth Digital Diplomacy Forum, held
in London.
The
event brought together more than 50 High Commissioners, Ambassadors, senior
diplomats, and global digital leaders, providing a platform for dialogue on
diplomacy in an increasingly interconnected world. Discussions focused on
multilateral digital governance, artificial intelligence, cyber resilience,
digital standards, and digital public infrastructure as key enablers of
national development and international cooperation.

Hosted
in collaboration with the UK Government at the Foreign, Commonwealth and
Development Office (FCDO), the forum underscored the CTO’s role in linking
policy, innovation, and diplomacy. The organisation highlighted its continued
commitment to supporting Member States in building secure, inclusive, and
resilient digital ecosystems.
The
CTO expressed appreciation to speakers, partners, and participants, noting that
the forum sets the tone for a series of activities planned throughout its
anniversary year.
