The meeting focused on key pillars of the country’s digital transformation agenda, with discussions centered on cybersecurity, digital identity, and digital health. These areas form part of the government’s broader New Deal Technologique, a national strategy designed to accelerate digital modernization and strengthen institutional resilience.

Participants examined policy, regulatory, and implementation priorities required to support the development of secure digital infrastructure and services. Cybersecurity emerged as a central theme, reflecting growing emphasis on protecting national digital assets, enhancing trust frameworks, and safeguarding public systems.

Deliberations also addressed the advancement of digital identity systems, viewed as foundational for public service delivery, financial inclusion, and data governance. In parallel, digital health initiatives were discussed in the context of improving healthcare access, efficiency, and system integration through technology.

The session brought together members of the National Digital Council and relevant stakeholders engaged in shaping Senegal’s digital policy landscape. The discussions underscored the government’s commitment to building a coherent and sustainable digital ecosystem aligned with national development objectives.

The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by Senegalese authorities to reinforce digital sovereignty, strengthen cross-sector coordination, and drive innovation-led economic growth.
