Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto has hosted a high-level working breakfast at State House in Nairobi, bringing together ministers and senior government officials from across Africa attending the Connected Africa Summit 2026.

The engagement, held in honour of visiting delegations, was attended by cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, principal secretaries, and heads of delegation from multiple African countries, including Malawi, Uganda, Liberia, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Angola, Algeria, Guinea, The Gambia, and the Republic of Congo, alongside a special guest delegation from Chad.

According to William Kabogo Gitau, Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy the meeting provided an opportunity for leaders to strengthen collaboration around Africa’s digital transformation agenda and deepen regional cooperation.

Discussions at the gathering centred on advancing a unified approach to digital development across the continent, with a shared vision of building an integrated digital market and expanding connectivity.

The State House meeting formed part of broader engagements at the summit, which has convened policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to explore strategies for accelerating digital inclusion, innovation, and cross-border integration.

Participants underscored the importance of collective action in shaping Africa’s digital future, with emphasis on building a connected and inclusive digital ecosystem that supports economic growth and regional integration.
