MTN
Cameroon has highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in improving road
safety during the country’s first National Forum on Road Safety, held under the
theme “Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Road Safety.”
At
the event, the telecommunications company presented an innovative solution
developed in partnership with Camtrack, aimed at monitoring and analysing
driver behaviour in interurban transport and heavy-duty passenger mobility.

The
solution leverages AI and connected technologies to enhance driver
accountability, improve fleet monitoring, and support safer transportation
systems. According to MTN Cameroon, the initiative is designed to reduce road
risks and contribute to more efficient mobility across communities.
The
forum brought together stakeholders to discuss the future of road safety and
explore how digital innovation can be applied to address challenges in the
transport sector.

MTN
Cameroon said the platform provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on the
integration of technology into road safety strategies, particularly through
data-driven approaches and real-time monitoring systems.
The
company was also recognised with an award during the forum for its contribution
to advancing road safety through technology.
MTN
Cameroon reaffirmed its commitment to developing solutions that promote safety,
connectivity, and smarter mobility, as part of its broader efforts to leverage
digital innovation for social impact.
