Morocco has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Orange Maroc to strengthen the country’s national artificial intelligence strategy as part of the implementation of the “Maroc Digital 2030” vision and the “AI Made in Morocco” roadmap.

The agreement was signed in Casablanca by Amal El Fallah-Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, during the second edition of the GenZ AI Summit organised by Orange Digital Center Maroc.

The partnership is aligned with the rollout of the national JAZARI Institutes programme and aims to support the development of Morocco’s artificial intelligence ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, the Minister reiterated Morocco’s ambition to position AI as a strategic lever for sovereignty, competitiveness, and human development. She emphasized the importance of building a national ecosystem capable of producing local talent, infrastructure, and technological solutions.

She also highlighted the central role of young people in shaping Morocco’s AI future, stressing the need for an innovation-driven, inclusive, and trust-based model of development.

The MoU, concluded under the JAZARI ROOT initiative, establishes a framework for collaboration focused on testing and developing AI use cases, particularly in e-government services.

The partnership is expected to bring together public institutions, private sector players, academic bodies, and entrepreneurs to accelerate the development of innovative solutions aimed at improving public services and supporting administrative modernization.
