EthSwitch with an opportunity to share Ethiopia’s progress in developing an
interoperable digital payments ecosystem while learning from international
experiences and global best practices.
EthSwitch works with
government institutions, development partners, financial institutions, fintech
companies and other private-sector stakeholders to strengthen the country’s
payments infrastructure and expand access to digital financial services.
The organisation is also
working to broaden its role in cross-border payments, with the objective of
connecting Ethiopia’s domestic payment ecosystem to international markets and

According to EthSwitch,
interoperability and collaboration remain central to the development of an
inclusive digital payments environment capable of serving consumers and
businesses across the country.
The company’s participation
