Mauritius Telecom celebrates Learn-AI.School Internship Programme graduates

Mauritius Telecom has awarded internship certificates to students and teachers from the top 15 schools participating in the Learn-AI.School Innovation Challenge 2026, following two weeks of learning and hands-on experience at the telecommunications company.

The Learn-AI.School Internship Programme was designed to give participants practical exposure to how artificial intelligence is being applied in a real-world business environment. During the programme, the students and teachers had the opportunity to discover how Mauritius Telecom operates, explore the application of AI across different areas of the business, gain practical experience with AI tools, and engage with company teams and industry professionals.

The certificate award ceremony which was held at Telecom Tower got attended by Preetam Mohitram, Acting Assistant Director for E-Education and Technical Education, and Ashvina Fowdur-Parboteeah, Manager for ICT at the Ministry of Education. Also present were Veemal Gungadin, Chief Executive Officer of Mauritius Telecom, and Khooshal Mussai, Head of Finance at Dayforce.

The ceremony celebrated the commitment and achievements of the participating students and teachers throughout the initiative.

Through the Learn-AI.School Internship Programme, Mauritius Telecom is helping provide young learners and educators with exposure to artificial intelligence and practical experience that connects classroom learning with real-world applications of the technology.
