MTN Ghana has entered into a
partnership with the University of Ghana through a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU), alongside the launch of a Hackathon aimed at fostering innovation and
developing practical solutions to real-world challenges.
The partnership is designed
to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia while creating
opportunities for students and young innovators to apply their skills to
practical challenges.
The Hackathon will provide a
platform for participants to develop and test innovative ideas, with the
objective of moving solutions from concept towards practical impact.
MTN Ghana said the
partnership reflects its commitment to nurturing talent, advancing digital
innovation and empowering the next generation of problem-solvers to contribute
to Ghana’s digital future.
The collaboration will also
create platforms for ideas and technological solutions to be developed through
engagement between the university community and the private sector.
The initiative forms part of
MTN Ghana’s broader efforts to support innovation and skills development while
contributing to the growth of Ghana’s digital ecosystem.
Through the partnership, MTN
Ghana and the University of Ghana aim to create an environment where talent,
technology and innovation can be translated into solutions capable of
addressing real-world challenges and delivering meaningful impact.
