Mitwa Ng’ambi takes on MTN Group Chief People and Culture Officer role

MTN Group executive Mitwa Kaemba Ng’ambi has taken on a new role as MTN Group Chief People and Culture Officer, bringing her experience in business turnarounds and transformation across African markets to the Group’s people and culture agenda.

Ng’ambi announced the new responsibility in a statement reflecting on her leadership experience across the continent and the role of people and organisational culture in driving business success.

She said her experience as a chief executive across different African markets had consistently demonstrated the importance of People and Culture as key drivers of successful business transformation.

In her new position, Ng’ambi will focus on harnessing the strength of MTN’s people and culture across the Group’s operations as the company continues to pursue transformation and growth across its footprint.

She described the appointment as a transformative role and said she was excited to take on the responsibility alongside other members of the MTN Group executive team.

Ng’ambi brings experience from leading business turnarounds and transformation initiatives in different African markets, experience that she is expected to apply to MTN’s broader people and culture strategy.

Her appointment marks a new chapter in her career and comes as MTN continues to place organisational capability, leadership and employee culture at the centre of its transformation agenda.
