Morocco and Vietnam have
reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, with
digital transition, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
identified as promising areas for expanded collaboration.
Morocco’s Minister Delegate
to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administration
Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, represented the Moroccan government on
Monday, September 14, 2026, at a ceremony in Rabat marking Vietnam’s National
Day.
The ceremony also
commemorated the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Morocco and
Vietnam, which the two countries described as being grounded in friendship,
mutual respect, cooperation and shared historical memory.
The Moroccan minister
conveyed the Kingdom’s warm congratulations to the Vietnamese government and
people and reaffirmed the two countries’ commitment to national sovereignty,
territorial integrity, mutual respect and non-interference as foundations for stable
and balanced international relations.
The engagement also
highlighted the strategic geographic positions of both countries. Morocco was
presented as a link between Africa and Europe and a platform for access to the
African continent, while Vietnam was described as a major gateway to Southeast
Asia.
Against this backdrop,
digital transition, artificial intelligence and new technologies were
identified as areas offering promising prospects for deeper cooperation between
the two countries.
