NileSat and Thales Alenia
Space have discussed ways to strengthen strategic cooperation in satellite
communications and explore advanced technologies that could support the
Egyptian satellite operator’s future broadcasting and communication plans.
The discussions took place
in Paris during an extensive meeting between General Sameh Katta, Chairman and
CEO of NileSat, and Hervé Derrey, Chief Executive Officer of Thales Alenia
Space. The meeting was attended by executive and technical officials from both
organisations.
The engagement forms part of
NileSat’s efforts to keep pace with developments in satellite manufacturing and
launch technologies while exploring solutions and capabilities offered by
Thales Alenia Space.
During the meeting, Thales
Alenia Space’s technical team presented its latest advanced space platforms and
their capabilities in supporting broadcasting and satellite communication
services with improved efficiency and more competitive operating costs.
Katta outlined NileSat’s
future vision and plans for satellite broadcasting and communication services,
providing an overview of the company’s priorities as it seeks to strengthen its
position in the international satellite communications sector.
The two sides also examined
opportunities to expand their joint cooperation and discussed mechanisms for
leveraging Thales Alenia Space’s technical expertise and capabilities to
support NileSat’s future plans.
The proposed cooperation is
expected to contribute to the development of the satellite communications
ecosystem while supporting NileSat’s efforts to enhance its international
presence.
