The MTN Côte d’Ivoire
Foundation has been elevated to the rank of Commander of the Order of Merit of
Solidarity in recognition of its sustained contribution to social development
and efforts to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations across
Côte d’Ivoire.
The distinction was awarded
by Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of National Cohesion, Solidarity and the Fight
against Poverty, Belmonde Dogo, recognising several years of commitment by the
MTN Côte d’Ivoire Foundation to social development across the country.
The recognition reflects the
impact of initiatives undertaken by the foundation in areas including
education, health, women’s empowerment, child protection and community
development.
MTN Côte d’Ivoire said the
distinction acknowledges the continued efforts of the foundation and the
various stakeholders involved in delivering its social initiatives.
The company congratulated
Natenin Coulibaly, Executive Secretary of the MTN Côte d’Ivoire Foundation, as
well as MTN employees, partners, volunteers and field actors who contribute to
the foundation’s programmes and activities.
According to MTN Côte
d’Ivoire, the mobilisation of these stakeholders has helped translate social
development ambitions into concrete initiatives aimed at improving the lives of
communities across the country.
The company said it remains
committed to pursuing the foundation’s mission and contributing to a more
inclusive, supportive and prosperous future for all.
