IHS Towers Chairman and CEO,
Sam Darwish, has joined South Africa’s Minister of Trade, Industry and
Competition, Parks Tau and MTN Head of Corporate Affairs, Nompilo Morafo, in New
York to mark South Africa’s National Heritage Day.
Darwish said the occasion
provided an opportunity to celebrate South Africa’s rich cultural heritage,
diversity and traditions, which continue to shape the country’s identity and
future.
National Heritage Day
recognises the cultural heritage and traditions that form part of South
Africa’s national identity and brings attention to the diversity of communities
across the country.
Darwish said he was proud to
acknowledge the significance of the occasion, particularly given IHS Towers’
strong operational footprint in South Africa.
He noted that the country’s
rich cultural heritage contributes to the strength of communities, businesses
and society as a whole.
The engagement in New York
brought together business and public-sector representatives to mark the
national occasion while recognising the cultural diversity and heritage that
continue to influence South Africa’s development.

provided an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of the country’s
