Irembo CEO Israel Bimpe has
called for healthcare access to be reimagined around local realities and the
needs of the people served as African stakeholders explore how technology can
strengthen health systems.
Israel Bimpe made the
remarks during the opening plenary of the Africa HealthTech Summit (AHTS),
titled “Wellness for All: Powered by Intelligent Health Systems,” where he
joined Mara Hansen Staples, Mary-Ann Etiebet, MD, MBA, and Fred Swaniker.
The session was moderated by
Georgie Ndirangu and focused on how technology and stronger health systems can
work together to improve care for everyone.
“If we want intelligent
health systems that deliver wellness for all, we have to keep reimagining
healthcare access around our own realities and the needs of the people we
serve,” said Israël Bimpe.
The discussion highlighted
the role of intelligent health systems in improving healthcare delivery and
expanding access, while recognising the need for approaches that respond to the
realities of the communities they are designed to serve.
Irembo said building
intelligent health systems is a shared journey and expressed its commitment to
contributing to efforts aimed at strengthening healthcare through technology.
