Zimbabwe’s Minister of ICT,
Postal and Courier Services, Hon. T. A. Mavetera, has toured exhibition stands
showcasing innovations developed by primary and secondary school learners and
other innovators at the 2026 POTRAZ Innovation Expo and Conference.
The tour formed part of the
expo, hosted by the Postal & Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of
Zimbabwe (POTRAZ), which brought together young learners, innovators,
universities, industry, investors and partners to showcase local solutions and
explore opportunities for commercialisation.
POTRAZ said the exhibition
featured innovations by primary and secondary school learners and innovators,
highlighting the role of young people in shaping Zimbabwe’s digital future.
The 2026 Innovation Expo and
Conference was held from 29 September to 3 October 2026 under the theme,
“Harnessing Local Innovation for Inclusive Industrial Transformation and
Sustainable Development.”
The event featured
innovation exhibitions, live pitches, panel discussions, deal rooms, networking
opportunities and discussions focused on turning local innovations into
practical solutions.
The expo also featured
business mentorship, industry solution demonstrations, public sector and
industry keynotes, policy dialogue and commercialisation discussions.
