The Eswatini Communications
Commission (ESCCOM) and the Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) have signed
a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen regional cooperation,
knowledge sharing and capacity building in the communications sector.
The partnership will focus
on key areas including cybersecurity, research, regulatory development and
human capital growth, with the aim of supporting a safer and more resilient
digital ecosystem in both countries.
In an announcement, ESCCOM
said the agreement was aimed at “strengthening regional collaboration for a
secure digital future.”
The MoU is expected to
provide a framework for the two regulatory authorities to share expertise and
build capacity while enhancing cooperation on communications-sector issues.
The partnership reflects
efforts by the two countries to strengthen regulatory collaboration and support
a more secure and resilient digital environment across the region.
