The Kenya Space Agency (KSA) has held discussions with Chinese aerospace company MinoSpace on collaboration opportunities to enhance Kenya’s national space capability, including capacity building, access to satellite data and the development of upstream and downstream capabilities.

The discussions took place during a visit to MinoSpace on Friday, 16 October 2026, led by KSA Director General Maj Gen Hillary Kipkosgey and a delegation from the agency.

The delegation met with MinoSpace’s senior leadership, led by co-founder Huan Yiheng, at the company, which is headquartered in Beijing, China.

MinoSpace is an end-to-end satellite design and manufacturing company specialising in small-to-large-scale satellites, including artificial intelligence-ready optical and synthetic aperture radar satellites, among other satellite products.

During the visit, the KSA delegation toured MinoSpace’s Assembly, Integration and Test facility in Beijing’s Haidian District.
