South Sudan’s National Communication Authority (NCA) has completed the handover of key administrative and operational documents from outgoing Director General Rizig Dominic Samuel to incoming Director General Eng. Gieth Kon Mathiang.

The handover took place at Telecom House in Gumbo and was witnessed by NCA directors. Mathiang assumed office a few weeks before the formal transfer of documents.

Following his tenure at the NCA, Samuel has transitioned to his new role as Commissioner General of the South Sudan Revenue Authority (SSRA).

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening strategic cooperation between the NCA and SSRA to address challenges in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, foster stakeholder collaboration, support licensees and drive sustainable digital growth.

The cooperation is expected to support efforts to address ICT sector challenges while promoting collaboration among stakeholders and contributing to the country’s digital development.
