Gabon has launched the first
edition of Gabon Digital Week, scheduled to take place from October 26 to 30,
2026, at the Palais des Congrès, with registrations now open.
The Ministry of Digital
Economy, Digitalization, Innovation and New Technologies officially announced
the event during a press conference, outlining a programme centred on digital
sovereignty, inclusion and innovation.
The week will bring together
startups, companies, students, institutions and citizens to celebrate digital
technology and explore opportunities within Gabon’s digital ecosystem.
Activities will include the
KIMBA Connect final, featuring startups in the ecosystem, and a digital village
with about 15 stands. The programme will also feature thematic panels and the
presentation of the national strategy for digitalization and innovation.
Other activities include the
MIT Executive Seminar, the submission of the GSMA report and the Road to Doha,
alongside other events.
Gabon Digital Week will be
held under the Very High Patronage of Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, President
of the Republic, Head of State and Head of Government.
The organisers described the
event as a digital festival open to everyone, emphasising its aim of bringing
together different groups to participate in the country’s digital
transformation.
