Four member countries of the
West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) have signed a bilateral
roaming agreement aimed at strengthening regional digital integration and
facilitating communications across the Community.
The agreement was signed in
Ouagadougou, on the sidelines of the second session of the WAEMU Committee of
National Digital Regulators (CRNN), according to Orange Burkina Faso.
The initiative marks a step
towards improving cross-border communications and strengthening digital
integration among member countries.
Orange Burkina Faso said the
agreement reflects efforts to make it easier for people to stay connected
across borders, adding: “Orange is here to connect you across borders.”
