Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of
Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, Djibril Ouattara, has called
on public and private organisations to strengthen their capacity to anticipate
and respond to cyberattacks as the government seeks to make cybersecurity a
pillar of the country’s digital transformation.
The Minister made the call
during the CYBER RETEX session, organised on October 28 and 29, 2026, at the
Radisson Blu in Abidjan.
The session, dedicated to
feedback from past cyber incidents, aims to draw lessons from previous attacks
to improve the preparation and management of future crises.
According to the Minister,
the ability to anticipate incidents, identify vulnerabilities and correct
weaknesses is an essential factor in ensuring digital reliability.
Through CYBEREX 2026, the
government reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a culture of anticipation,
shared responsibility and continuous improvement in cybersecurity.
