Senegal and Brazil are
seeking to strengthen bilateral cooperation in digital transformation, with
discussions focusing on the digitalisation of public services, expertise
sharing and skills transfer to support the implementation of Senegal’s New Deal
Technologique.
Senegal’s Minister of
Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, Samba Diouf, held discussions with
Brazil’s Ambassador to Senegal, Daniella Xavier Cesar, during a meeting on
October 26, 2026.
The meeting formed part of
efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries,
particularly through the continuation and acceleration of projects under the
New Deal Technologique.
Discussions focused mainly
on Brazil’s experience in the digitalisation of public services, as well as
opportunities for sharing expertise and transferring skills.
During the meeting,
Senegal’s Ministry reaffirmed its priorities of developing reliable digital
systems, simplifying administrative procedures for citizens and strengthening
the skills of young people in the digital sector.
Brazil’s participation in
the next Dakar International Fair (FIDAK) was also discussed. The event, which
will be held under the theme “Digitalization and innovation at the service of
economic transformation”, is expected to provide an opportunity to promote
Brazilian expertise and consolidate technological synergies between the two
countries.
