Maxime Bayen takes the helm as Operating Partner at the Catalyst Fund

The Catalyst Fund has announced the appointment of Maxime Bayen as its new Operating Partner. This appointment marks a pivotal moment for the fund, as it positions itself to play a leading role in supporting startups and initiatives that address the pressing challenges of climate change.  

As the Operating Partner, according to a statement sighted by Techreview Africa Maxime Bayen will play a multifaceted role in the Catalyst Fund's operations. His responsibilities encompass startup sourcing, portfolio management, nurturing strategic partnerships with fellow venture capital funds, and contributing to fundraising efforts. 


Moreover, Maxime will provide invaluable strategic support to ensure that the fund's investments flourish in the ever-evolving landscape of climate resilience.


In his new role as Operating Partner at the Catalyst Fund, Maxime will continue his journey championing African entrepreneurs. The Catalyst Fund has recently transitioned into an equity fund, allowing Maxime and our team to support its portfolio companies over a longer timeframe while benefiting from the advantages of our tailored venture-building approach.
