MTN Nigeria's CEO affirms commitment to partnering government to accelerate digital and financial inclusion

The management team of MTN Nigeria, led by its CEO Karl Olutokun Toriola, has paid a courtesy visit to the Vice President of Nigeria, Dr. Kashim Shettima, and other prominent government officials. 


The visit included meetings with the Minister of Communications, Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Chief of Defense Staff, General Chris G. Musa, and the Acting Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote.


On his official LinkedIn profile, Toriola expressed the company's steadfast dedication to collaborating with the Nigerian government to improve critical infrastructure and advance digital and financial inclusion throughout the country. 

Toriola cited MTN Nigeria's participation in the completion of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway through the Road Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme (RITC) as evidence of their commitment. 


Additionally, he emphasized that the company will continue to work closely with the government to promote broadband adoption and financial inclusion via the MoMo platform.
