Ministry of Communication, Telecommunications, and Digital Affairs holds seminar to strengthened Senegal’s digital sector

Senegal’s Ministry of Communication, Telecommunications, and Digital Affairs has organized a strategic seminar aimed at fostering coordination and synergy among its various entities. This important meeting provided an opportunity for the Minister to outline his vision for the communication, telecommunications, digital, and postal sectors in Senegal, emphasizing the need for a collaborative approach to enhance public policy implementation.

The seminar brought together representatives from different structures under the Ministry’s supervision, allowing each entity to present its roadmap, priorities, challenges, and objectives. These presentations were instrumental in identifying common goals and aligning efforts toward a unified vision for the sector. The discussions delved into critical strategic challenges, including the modernization of infrastructure, the imperative of digital inclusion, the enhancement of the postal service, and the need for more transparent and inclusive communication practices.


A key focus of the seminar was the alignment of actions with Senegal’s national digital transformation strategy. The Minister, Alioune Sall indicated the importance of ensuring consistency in the actions undertaken by various entities, which is essential for achieving the desired outcomes in the digital landscape.

The Minister also stressed the significance of working in synergy and adhering to the guidelines established by the Ministry and urged all participants to strengthen their cooperation to ensure the effective implementation of their respective action plans.
