MTN Group announces Africa CEO Forum sponsorship and participation

MTN Group has announced its sponsorship and participation in this year’s Africa CEO Forum slated for 13-14 June 2022 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The two-day high-level business meeting which is expected to provide a platform for top-notch CEOs and other C-Suite executives to share experiences and identify trends that affect the business world will also be dedicated to highlighting the driving role of the private sector in the development of the continent.

This year’s forum, according to a statement issued by the Group will address the theme: ‘Reconnect, Reboot, and Reshare’ and will mobilize leading CEOs, investors, heads of state, and ministers to outline new paths to Africa’s growth.

Commenting on the sponsorship package, the MTN Group Senior Vice President, Markets, Ebenezer Asante remarked that MTN as a pan-African company relies on relationships across the continent to create shared value. An MTN business imperative is standardized, consistent, and well-governed stakeholder engagement that creates and preserves value, and for that matter its participation and sponsorship of the Africa CEO Forum is symbolic of the great progress in the journey towards achieving that imperative.

He said MTN Group will support this event as a sign of its commitment to advancing initiatives that are geared to strengthen relations between business and government.

Founded in 2012, the Africa CEO Forum is an annual gathering of decision-makers from the largest African companies, as well as international investors, multinational executives, heads of state, ministers, and representatives of the main financial institutions operating on the continent.
