Cameroon’s telecom giant MTN
has officially unveiled its first experience center to serve customers better
in Yaounde.
The new Touch Point located in
the Yaounde Place Commercial Center of the Warda neighborhood will enhance the
digital experience and quality of service offered to customers through several
innovations.
With the provision of connected
touch screens, self-service areas, virtual reality content, trials, and games,
the newly launched experience center will also offer services such as
subscriber identification, sale of SIM cards, migration to 4G and 4.5G
technologies, activation of MTN Mobile Money accounts, cash-in, cash-out, MoMo
transfer, sale of smartphones, tablets, modems, and other terminals.
Speaking at a brief ceremony,
the outgoing CEO of MTN Cameroon, Stephen Blewett, said, “this new store
concretizes our dual promise of proximity and memorable experience. Because we
have to serve more than 10 million customers daily and ensure that each of
these loyal subscribers has a unique experience commensurate with the truth
they have placed on MTN Cameroon for more than 20 years now.”
In attendance at the event were
the Governor of the Centre Region, Naseri Paul Bea, and the incoming Chief
Executive Officer of MTN Cameroon, Mitwa Nga’mbi,
MTN now has six stores in Yaounde and 19 others in the ten
regions of Cameroon.
