Telecom, through the Mauritius Telecom Foundation, has supported Le Morne
Government School with a series of initiatives aimed at improving the learning
environment for students and teachers.
The
support included the establishment of classroom libraries, financing
after-school academic support programmes, providing free internet access for
one year, and donating laptops and a printer to the school.

The
contribution was made during the Independence and Republic Day celebrations
held at the school, where the Chief Executive Officer of Mauritius Telecom,
Veemal Gungadin, served as the Chief Guest.
In
addition to the institutional support, employees of Mauritius Telecom also
contributed to the purchase of educational materials, school supplies, and
community games for students as part of a collective effort to support the
school community.

Mauritius
Telecom said the initiative reflects its commitment to investing in education
as a means of promoting inclusion, expanding opportunities, and supporting the
long-term development of the country by ensuring that every child has access to
the tools and environment needed to learn and succeed.
