Google
has opened a new artificial intelligence center in Berlin, Germany, aimed at
fostering collaboration between technology researchers, businesses, academic
institutions, and policymakers.

The
Google AI Center Berlin will serve as a shared space where teams from Google
DeepMind, Google Cloud, and Google Research can work closely with partners
across Germany to advance the development and application of artificial
intelligence technologies.
According
to Debbie Weinstein, President of Google for Europe, the Middle East and
Africa, the initiative is designed to encourage knowledge exchange and
partnerships that can accelerate innovation and economic growth.
The
center will support collaboration with a range of organizations across sectors.
In the automotive industry, Mercedes-Benz AG is working with Google AI to
develop more intuitive and personalized in-car navigation systems. In the
financial sector, Deutsche Bank is applying AI tools such as its “db Lumina”
platform to help analysts structure complex data more efficiently.

Retail
company Otto Group is also using AI-powered solutions to provide customers with
natural language shopping advice aimed at improving purchasing decisions and
reducing product returns. Meanwhile, Vodafone is deploying intelligent support
systems designed to improve the speed and effectiveness of customer service
responses.
Google
said the new AI center reflects its commitment to supporting innovation
ecosystems and strengthening Europe’s competitiveness in the emerging AI-driven
industrial era.
