MTN Benin holds 10th Y’ello Women Workshop to empower female leadership

MTN
Benin has hosted the 10th edition of its annual Y’ello Women Workshop, an event
dedicated to promoting female leadership and talent development within the
organization.
The
workshop, themed “Move forward boldly – know your value,” brought together MTN
employees to engage with Uche Ofodile, CEO of MTN Benin, and keynote speaker
Salimata Keïta, renowned for her work in inclusive leadership.
Participants
took part in panel discussions moderated by Francoise Marielle Bibai Eyoum,
Director of Sales & Distribution, and Winifred Dela S., Director of Risk
& Compliance. Key topics included professional audacity, self-confidence,
public speaking, emotional intelligence, and strategies for navigating complex
work environments.
Salimata
Keïta emphasized the importance of resilience, determination, and emotional
intelligence in accessing leadership roles, aligning with MTN Benin’s mission
to create an environment where women can fully develop their potential.
The
workshop also highlighted the impact of internal programs such as Y’ello Women
Workshop and CEO of the Day, which have contributed to enhancing the visibility
and career progression of women within MTN.
Through
this initiative, MTN Benin reaffirmed its commitment to promoting equal
opportunities and supporting the advancement of women into leadership
positions, reinforcing the broader positive impact on society.
