Côte d'Ivoire has hosted the first meeting of members of the United Nations
Global Compact in Côte d'Ivoire, bringing together companies and organisations
committed to advancing corporate social responsibility.
The
meeting, was organised under the theme “Together, all committed to building the
UNGC Network in Côte d’Ivoire” and aimed to strengthen collaboration among
members while promoting responsible business practices within the private
sector.

Participants
used the platform to share experiences, exchange practical insights and
reinforce partnerships among member organisations. The discussions also focused
on defining the next steps for advancing the corporate social responsibility
agenda in Côte d’Ivoire.
Officials
noted that the local network now comprises nearly 40 organisations committed to
the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, reflecting growing
interest in sustainable and responsible business practices in the country.

Orange
Côte d’Ivoire, which joined the initiative in 2024, said the engagement
underscores its commitment to contributing to responsible development and
working collaboratively with private sector stakeholders to drive sustainable
growth.
