European Space Agency (ESA), through its ESA Academy, has opened applications for the
2026 edition of its Disruptive Innovation and Commercialisation in Earth
Observation (EO) Training Course.

The programme is scheduled to take place from July 6
to 9, 2026, at ESEC-Galaxia in Belgium and
is designed to equip participants with both technical and entrepreneurial
skills in the Earth observation sector.
The course combines artificial intelligence
applications in Earth observation with innovation and business development,
featuring interactive sessions and team-based project work. Participants will
have the opportunity to develop and prototype EO solutions before presenting
their projects to experts from ESA’s Φ-lab and industry stakeholders.

The training is open to Master’s and
PhD students in engineering, science, business, and Earth observation-related
fields. Selected participants will receive sponsorship from ESA covering
accommodation, meals, and travel support.
Applications
for the programme are open until April 19, 2026.
