Stakeholders
from across government, law enforcement, industry, academia, and civil society
gathered in Accra for the National Online Safety Summit (NOSS) 2026 to advance
discussions on child online protection and digital safety in Ghana and across
Africa.

The
summit, highlighted by Emmanuel Adinkra, President and founder, Ghana Internet
Safety Foundation brought together key actors to examine growing risks facing
children in the digital space, including online exploitation, sextortion, and
child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Participants
emphasized the urgency of addressing these challenges, noting that children
account for a significant proportion of global internet users while remaining
highly vulnerable to digital threats. Panel discussions focused on identifying
regulatory gaps, strengthening enforcement mechanisms, and enhancing
collaboration among stakeholders to safeguard young users.

The
engagement underscored the importance of multi-sectoral dialogue in tackling
online safety issues, with stakeholders calling for concrete actions and
coordinated efforts to translate discussions into effective policies and
protective measures.
