MTN
Uganda has announced the appointment of Jemima Kariuki-Njuguna as the new Chief
Product Officer for MTN Mobile Money Uganda.
“We are
thrilled to welcome Jemima Kariuki-Njuguna as our new Chief Product Officer at
#MTNMoMo!” stated a brief statement on MTN Ugandan social media Linkedin
platform.
It further
acknowledged that Jemima is a highly experienced product development and
management professional, with a deep passion for financial inclusion. She
brings over 14 years of experience in ideating, building, and rolling out
digital products in emerging markets, making her an invaluable addition to our
team.
It said prior to joining MTN Uganda, Jemima worked as a
Director at Mastercard, where she was responsible for overseeing core and
digital products for East and West Africa. Before that, she worked at Visa as a
Director for Digital products and held several roles in the Airtel money
department at Airtel Kenya.
“Throughout her career, Jemima has spearheaded the
development of many products for emerging markets, with the vision of creating
significant and positive differences in society,” the statement noted.
“We are
excited to have her on board and look forward to her leadership in driving our
product strategy forward,” it added.
