The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) is participating in the 44th Administrative Council Technical Committee meetings of the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) in Entebbe, Uganda, ahead of the 11th Plenipotentiary Conference scheduled for March 25–27, 2026.

The meetings have brought together postal sector leaders, regulators, and policymakers from across Africa to deliberate on the future of postal and e-commerce services. Key discussions are focused on digital transformation, cross-border e-commerce, and promoting financial inclusion through innovative postal solutions.

Namibia, which currently serves on the Bureau of the Strategy Committee of the Administrative Council, is actively contributing to policy discussions aimed at modernising the postal sector and aligning with regional and global best practices.

As part of its continued engagement, Namibia is also seeking re-election to the Administrative Council for a second term, reaffirming its commitment to building a resilient, inclusive, and digitally enabled postal ecosystem.
